The following El Molino athletes are being inducted into the El
Molino Athletic Hall of Fame at a banquet on October 24 at the Mary
Agatha Furth Center in Windsor.  Tickets are $50.00 and may be
purchased by contacting the school’s web site, www.elmolino.org or el******@***ic.net.  The deadline
to purchase tickets is October 14.  The following is the list of
2009 inductees and some of their athletic accomplishments.   
BOB LEFOR      1969
Bob was a seven-season varsity athlete and a three sport
participant in football, basketball, and baseball. He was a member
of El Molino’s first championship teams in football and baseball. 
He earned five all league selections, three for football, and went
on to play football and baseball at Santa Rosa Junior College.
KEN MARSHALL     1969
Ken was a three-sport athlete who earned all league honors six
times.  He was an eight-season varsity athlete in football,
basketball, and baseball.  He was a member of El Molino’s first
championship teams in football and baseball.  Ken played football
and baseball for SRJC earning all conference honors. He transferred
to the University of Pacific and played football and baseball.
BILL NAGY     1973
Bill was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and
baseball.  He was a
two-time football captain and MVP.  In his senior year, he was
all-league and was
selected to receive the Northern California Football Hall of
Fame Award.  He played three years of baseball and was MVP and
all-league his senior year.
JOHN MARSHALL     1973
John was a three-sport participant and a seven-season varsity
athlete in football, basketball, and baseball.  After his senior
year of football, he received the Outstanding Back award and earned
all league honors.  He was a four-year varsity baseball player,
earned two MVP awards, and was named captain.
DION NOONAN     1980
Dion was a three-sport participant and five-season varsity
athlete in football, basketball, and baseball. He was SCL
all-league in baseball in his junior year, and in his senior year,
was all-league and all Redwood Empire.  Dion went on to receive all
conference recognition in baseball at SRJC and UC Riverside.
DOUG CARNATION     1980
A four-sport athlete in football, wrestling, baseball, and
track, Doug was a four-year SCL wrestling champion and NCS
qualifier.  He had two first place NCS championships earning a spot
at the state championships. He was a two time junior college
champion and at Fresno State had the most wins in the country his
senior year.
TODD NOONAN     1981
Todd was a three-sport participant and a six-time varsity
athlete in football, basketball, and baseball.  In his senior year,
he was all-league on offense and defense and was SCL Lineman of the
Year.  He played baseball at SRJC and UC Riverside and then pursued
a professional career playing for the Salt Lake City Trappers in
the Pioneer League.
SKIP CASSADY JR.     1983
Unable to compete in athletics, Skip is El Molino’s #1 fan.  He
has been a scorekeeper for the basketball team for twenty-five
years. He announces the freshmen and junior varsity football games
as well as the varsity baseball games. He can be seen at most home
games and has dedicated himself to Lion Athletics. 
CORRINE (KAUWE) VITER   1985
As a three-sport participant in volleyball, basketball, and
softball, Corrine was a six-time varsity athlete.  She was a
three-time all league player, twice for volleyball and once for
softball.  Corrine played one year of volleyball at SRJC earning
all conference honors. She transferred to UC Santa Barbara and
played one year of volleyball.
SHARON (POLLEY) WILLIAMSON     1988
Sharon participated in cross-country, basketball, and track. 
She won sixteen league championships in track and one in
cross-country. Twenty years later, Sharon still holds five El
Molino track records and has five top ten Empire “bests”.  She
attended Cal Poly SLO and the University of Arkansas Fayetteville
on scholarship and was all conference at both schools.
JENNIFER (RYE) BRANS     1990
Jennifer was an eleven-season varsity athlete who played tennis,
basketball, and softball. She earned eight all league honors and
was the #1 SCL tennis player for four years. Jennifer was a
three-time all league basketball player who was the first El Mo
girl to score 1000 points in her career.  She attended CSU Hayward
where she was a nationally ranked tennis player.
SHANNON MILLER     1992
A four-sport participant and an eight-time varsity athlete,
Shannon’s track career included two league championships and a trip
to the state meet. Shannon attended SRJC and Cal Poly SLO and
became an “elite” pole vaulter. Numerous victories in meets around
the world resulted in an invitation to the 2000 Olympic Trials
where she finished twelfth. 
CRAIG TACLA     1992
Craig was a four-sport participant and a six-season varsity
athlete.  He was selected all league once in soccer and twice in
baseball.  Craig attended and played baseball at SRJC, Marin JC,
and CSU Chico.  His Chico State team was conference champion in his
junior year.  In his senior year, Chico State was conference,
regional, and NCAA Division II National champion.
MICHAELA EBBEN     1994
Michaela was a four-year varsity volleyball player. She earned
three all league awards, three MVP’s, two all Redwood Empire
awards, and was SCL Player of the Year.  She was the CIF State
Tourney MVP and named one of the top 50 players in California. 
Michaela earned a scholarship to the University of Arizona and was
a two-year starter for the Wildcats.
ERIN (THOMAS) WASIAK     1998
A four-year swimmer, Erin set numerous school records.  She was
an eight-time league champion and was named the MVP of the SCL four
times.  She qualified for NCS numerous times and was a finalist six
times.  Erin attended UCLA and swam on their NCAA championship
team.  She was a PAC-10 finalist six times.
