PARKLET STRUCK At 9:27pm on Saturday, April 25, a Tesla ran into a parklet structure at Guiso Latin Fusion on North Street. Service was still underway, and there were approximately 10 people in the structure. See entry for that date.

Monday, April 20

6:48pm A woman camped at Vine Street Properties on Vine Street. The Reporting Party (RP) wanted her to move along. An officer contacted the woman. She refused to leave, and no trespass paperwork was on file. The RP was advised how to file a trespass letter.  

Tuesday, April 21 

12:43am People camped at the Plaza Park Gazebo on Healdsburg Avenue. The people were advised of the relevant ordinance, and both moved along without causing an issue.

3:32am The RP on Canyon Run said a vehicle honked in front of a residence. A crash was heard, but nothing was seen. A person, who the RP believed to be the ex-boyfriend of the RP’s daughter, yelled from the vehicle. An argument between the RP and the RP’s daughter was heard in the background. An officer responded and checked the area for the subject’s vehicle, but the subject was gone on arrival. The RP was advised on filing trespass paperwork.

9:02am People with a sleeping bag and umbrella were sleeping in front of Brush Salon on Healdsburg Avenue. Clients were unable to get through the door, and employees did not feel comfortable asking the people to move along. Officers responded and contacted the subjects. They moved along.

Wednesday, April 22

10:21am The RP at Plaza Park on Healdsburg Avenue said three transients smoked marijuana under the gazebo. An officer and a family therapist responded and found no one smoking at that time. The people were advised to pick up their belongings. They complied. 

1:06pm The RP on Healdsburg Avenue said a man pushed him, and he wanted to press charges. A 38-Year-Old (YO) man was arrested and brought to county jail for battery.

Thursday, April 23

1:00am The RP near the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on University Avenue said a reckless driver yelled obscenities and drove back and forth. The RP heard the vehicle make screeching sounds and possibly burn tires. The RP was concerned the driver would hit someone. An officer arrived on the scene, but the vehicle was gone on arrival and unable to be located.

7:39am A man was sleeping in a sleeping bag on Vine Street in front of a building. The property owner wanted the man to move along. An officer advised the man of the complaint, and he moved along.

5:31pm A taco vendor near the Healdsburg Collision Center on Healdsburg Avenue started to set up. An officer advised the person about the relevant city ordinance, and he agreed to move along.

8:41pm A probation violation occurred at Montage on Montage Way. The RP, an employee, called about suspicious activity. A middle aged man walked onto the property and left with a luxury suitcase and bicycle. The RP did not know if the property belonged to the man. Subsequently, the man returned to the property, and the RP requested law enforcement to respond. A 59-YO man was arrested and transported to county jail for violation of probation, possession of methamphetamine and a treatment mandated felony for certain drug offenses.

Friday, April 24

11:20am The RP at Healdsburg Gas Mart on Healdsburg Avenue said that her car was hit. She had a photo of the suspect vehicle. Officers contacted the registered owner of the suspect vehicle, and the registered owner stated he attempted to exchange information with the RP at the scene, but there was a language barrier. The RP said she did not want to press charges. The officers facilitated the exchange of information between the involved parties.

12:47pm An officer gave a verbal warning to a person about alcohol use at the bus stop on Healdsburg Avenue. 

1:47pm People behind the L&M Motel on Healdsburg Avenue were in a verbal dispute. A 46-YO woman was arrested and transported to county jail for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Saturday, April 25

12:54am A vehicle at the Park & Ride on Healdsburg Avenue was stopped for  speeding and running a stop sign. Field sobriety tests were conducted. A juvenile was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) under the age of 21. He was then released to his parents.

5:03am A driver was asleep while parked in the middle of Brown Street at Lincoln Street. The car was idling. A 30-YO man was arrested and transported to county jail for DUI, driving with a license suspended for DUI, obstruction and contempt of court.

10:57am An email reported reckless driving took place on Memorial Bridge on Healdsburg Avenue. The RP said the driver ran a stop light. The information was logged.

1:14pm A probation officer contacted a 30 YO man on Healdsburg Avenue at Sawmill Circle. He was arrested and brought to county jail for violating post-release community supervision, possession of a controlled substance with two or more priors and possession of unlawful paraphernalia.

3:46pm The RP on East Street at Matheson Street said a vehicle nearly struck people in the crosswalk. Officers were notified to be on the lookout for the vehicle. 

5:48pm Three men near Dollar Tree on Vine Street were in a verbal fight in the parking lot. Officers responded, but the men were gone on arrival and unable to be located.

9:27pm A hit and run accident occurred at Guiso Latin Fusion on North Street. A vehicle crashed into the parklet outside the restaurant. No one was injured. Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses. The vehicle was located, but it was unoccupied. A report was taken, and the vehicle was towed. Investigation continues. 

Sunday, April 26

4:28pm The RP near Taqueria El Sombrero on Center Street indicated a verbal argument took place. Officers contacted the subjects and determined that the dispute was over parking and that nothing further was needed.
