Yeah, I Can Do That ... ish.

A few months back, I wrote a column about a lake adventure we were going to take this summer. The lake we chose is in Wisconsin where my father-in-law has a cabin and a couple of boats, the tubing gear and other such lake toys.

We’re ready to celebrate another Fourth of July. Some years the fireworks displays seem to evoke extra patriotic stirrings, sometimes they just make extra noise. Which is it this year? Are we celebrating a United States of America or, are we agonizing over a Divided States of America?

The Summer of Love of hippies, love-ins, Monterey Pop, LSD, Sgt. Pepper, Haight-Ashbury flower children and Vietnam War protests happened without most of us who are now hearing about its 50th anniversary.

People assumed when we decided to have children that I would want a boy, a first born male. I can understand why people would think that, it is pretty common for men to want a son and even that the first born should be a son. But that’s not me.

UPDATE: New meeting time.

A not-so-funny thing happened last week that detoured our whole nation away from what was supposed to be “Infrastructure Week,” where the president was to unveil a set of plans to fix our ailing roads, rail, aviation, water pipes and electric grid.

The first interesting question in this column arose because of the highly publicized cyber attack a few weeks back, the one that affected hospitals and banks all over the world. The second question used to come up all the time in my classes.
