Vintage Oaks praise

It’s springtime again and young wildlife are emerging from their dens and nests and beginning to learn the ways of the world. Because of this increase in wildlife activity, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) reminds people to leave young wildlife alone if they come across them in the wild. The improper handling of young wildlife is a problem in California and across the nation, especially in spring.

By now we’ve all seen the stunning pictures of humpback whales swimming in San Francisco Bay and received in our mailboxes the expensive color brochures touting the benefits of Measure AA. The well-funded proponents of Measure AA would have us believe that $500 million in new taxes will result in a clean and healthy San Francisco Bay for ourselves and future generations.

Healdsburg has a long history of volunteerism, with so many generous and talented people devoted to a myriad of vital causes. Most recently our depleted and pricey housing situation has emerged as top priority. And at the apex we have the homeless – many more than we’ll ever see or imagine – right in the midst of our bountiful affluence.
