125 years ago the news was this: "The new county road up the west side of Dry Creek valley will afford a delightful drive along that beautiful section. The road will start from the Upson place and intersect the present county highway near the bridge at Lambert. The view from points along the road is enchanting at any season of the year, and is especially so in the spring time."

On Saturday, Jan. 27, the Windsor Town Council held its annual goal-setting workshop. My personal takeaways were that, at a minimum, three priorities were identified and discussed.

It’s the holidays. I can feel the anticipation as Christmas break draws near, two glorious weeks off school for my teenagers. But I also feel the two stress balls festering as their workload doubles in the next few weeks as classes wrap up for the new year. So, what kind of holiday season will it be? “Bah-humbug or “let’s be merry and bright.”

Things to Do in Healdsburg, Aug. 27 – Sept. 4
The Solano County-based band Hey Jude plays the songs of the Beatles and other ’60s hitmakers for the finale on Thursday at Windsor’s Summer Nights on the Green. Farmers’ market starts at 5pm, music plays from 6-8pm. This is the last week for community music in most Northern Sonoma County towns.
