Someday we’ll laugh bout this . . . right? Blank Years Old
A friend posted a challenge on Facebook to share how old you are, without using any numbers. I love taking trips down memory lane and letting the images, smells, feelings and sounds wash over me. It’s like pulling out old family albums or yearbooks and falling back through time to a time that feels as recent as yesterday. I let my mind wander back, and here’s a few of the things I could come up with.

Country Roads: Hello, readers
It’s been five months since any Country Roads column has been written and I’ve missed the bi-weekly walk with you. My reasons for not writing seemed important back in October, but that was during the threatening fires, drought, and uncertainty if Sonoma County would still be in existence once rains returned to dampen down and finish off the fires.
A quiet walk on Earth Day
With the sight of blooming spring flowers, early morning treks to the farmers markets and casual afternoons at the many pandemic parklets and outdoor cafés, life in Sonoma County keeps opening a bit wider with each day. With many indoor spaces still closed or limited to public access, we are finding more things to do closer to nature and unconfined by walls, roofs and artificial lighting.
Flashbacks: Youth takes part in city business
"The Tribune of the issues of February 14th and 21st, 1901, will demonstrate what the bright boys and girls of the Healdsburg High School are capable of in this line...." and other news from days gone by.
Local steps to a Green New Deal
President Donald Trump is right; there is a national security emergency. It is a public health crisis, and it is ruining big swaths of our economy. Local communities like ours feel the impacts daily. If we don’t fund billions of major construction projects, this emergency will only get worse and worse.
Arts & Entertainment
‘Angels’ lands at Raven Performing Arts
:Every Sunday matinee we do a post-show discussion with the audience, so they get a chance to make comments and ask questions of the actors. We saw there were a lot of people who were quite moved and quite touched by the play. So the opening weekend could not have gone better, as far as I’m concerned," said director Steven David Martin.
