The Giorgi Park Playground Construction Project needs volunteers
this weekend, August 7, 8, and 9 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sign up
to help by calling Matthew Thompson at 431-3384. You can help any
time during those three days with auguring holes, helping pour
concrete footings, assembling pre-fabricated decks, stairs,
railings, or various other jobs. Come out and help the City Parks
Department put back together our wonderful little park.
The August 9 concert at St. Paul’s Church by Nate and Danny is
free, but all donations are gratefully accepted and will be donated
to the North County Community Services (NCCS). NCCS helps folks
with emergency shelter and transitional housing, rent and utility
bill assistance, and puts on the holiday food and gift basket
program. Come see these two very talented musicians play works from
Bach, Ravel, Pizet, and also modern composers.
The Healdsburg Museum is sponsoring Julie Silber, Quilt Expert,
at the Senior Center on August 13 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. The first 25
people who sign up will be able to bring their own quilts
(pre-1960) for Julie to describe what she sees and for the owner to
share what history they know about the quilt. This will be a
popular event so call and reserve your space right away. The hall
can only hold 80 people.
