The Healdsburg Senior Center teamed up with the Friends of the Healdsburg Senior Center and the Healdsburg Kiwanis Club to host a drive thru April Fools Corn Dog Party for seniors on April 1.

City of Healdsburg ratifies emergency declaration for COVID-19

In a unanimous vote Monday evening, March 16, Healdsburg City Council ratified the city’s emergency declaration in relation to COVID-19. An emergency declaration allows the city to have access to mutual aid and other resources.

SBA loan available for economic injury due to COVID-19

New federal legislation has opened up the possibility for small businesses to receive assistance for economic loss due to COVID-19. Details of eligibility and administration of this assistance from Small Business Administration (SBA) are still being addressed by the SBA.  

Sonoma County residents ordered to shelter in place

Sonoma County health officer Sundari Mase has issued a health order directing residents to shelter in place effective at midnight (12 a.m.) on Wednesday, March 18. This health order will be in place for three weeks until April 7. The health order limits activity, travel and business functions to only the most basic and essential needs.

As precautionary measure surrounding the coronavirus epidemic, many local events, from public meetings to festivals have been canceled or postponed in recent days due to the potential health risks of hosting large groups of people in confined spaces.

The County of Sonoma announced Thursday morning, March 5, that a second presumptive positive case of COVID-19 was confirmed in the county. COVID-19 is a novel strain of coronavirus.

Fans at the Ramble

The Ramble finds its place on the local calendar

The first weekend in June is becoming unofficially known as Ramble Weekend, as BloodRoot Wines continues its quixotic effort to make Healdsburg a waystation on the alt-rock circuit. Scheduled just two weeks after “the other BR,” Bottle Rock, the one-day-plus music festival will again take over the extensive lawn at Abel de Luna Community Center on Saturday, June 6.
