In Sonoma County and all across California, cannabis companies that don’t have permits from Sacramento have received cease and desist orders over the past six months. Those companies have had a choice: fill out the forms, submit them to the authorities and pay the fees, or face loss of property and fines.

In the early morning hours of May 14, a hit-and-run accident occurred on Hudson Street at Front Street. The RP requested police check the area. Officers arrived on scene and located the RP’s vehicle that was legally parked with damage to the body. Officers located a trail of oil leading to a suspect vehicle possibly involved in the accident. Dec. 11, 7:08am: The RP said a vehicle was driven recklessly on Harmon Street. Officers arrived, but the vehicle was gone on arrival and unable to be located.

Police Log, Dec. 16 – 22
Monday, Dec. 16: An officer stopped a vehicle on Matheson Street at Center Street for suspicion of having expired registration. The vehicle displayed a license plate that did not belong to the vehicle. Through a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun and about half an ounce of suspected methamphetamines. A 36-YO woman and 51-YO man were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and having forged or altered registration.
