Cloverdale resident since 2003
Q. What brought you here?
A. My wife and I lived and worked for about 20 years in San Francisco and wanted to live in the North Bay. We liked what we saw of Cloverdale and were able to afford a house here, and we liked the general area. That is what brought us here, but we’ve grown to really love it.
Q. What keeps you here?
A. In the early years it was that I had my own business designing and building one-off custom art furniture and I needed the garage space as a workshop. I did that for seven years but with the change in the economy I had to look for other work. But more recently it’s because we adopted our daughter, Mira, from Uganda in 2013 and so we are definitely staying close to her friends and her school. She just turned six. We are so happy to be parents. She likes school and though I’m the wrong person to ask because I’m her dad, I think she’s brilliant. So I’ll just say she’s having a fun time.
