Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Hand Fan Museum of
Healdsburg is hosting a new exhibit entitled “The Game of Love.”
The new exhibit, on display through April 1, features French fans
depicting cupids battling Amazons, traditional Louis XV fans,
cartoon fans from the late 18th century in England, as well as
sentimental fans from the Victorian era. The museum is located
adjacent to the Hotel Healdsburg. For information and tours, call

Food for Thought benefit orchid
show

The Sonoma County Orchid Society Spring Show and Plant Sale will
be held at the Veterans Memorial Building, 1351 Maple Ave. in Santa
Rosa on March 5, 6 and 7. The gala event on opening night, March 5,
will benefit Food For Thought Sonoma County Aids Food Bank and will
feature live entertainment, wine and hors d’ oeuvres served to
guests as they walk among the beautiful orchids. Tickets can be
purchased through Food for Thought for $25 by calling 887-1647. On
Saturday and Sunday, March 6 & 7, the Sonoma County Orchid
Society will open the show to the public for a fee of $7. Children
under 12 years old, accompanied by an adult, are admitted free. For
