Players ran the bases during the 2015 Opening Day ceremony for the Sebastopol Little League. The SLL will kick off its 59th season this Saturday, April 2 at Clahan/Laguna Park.

Opening Day will begin  with the parade of teams
The Sebastopol Little League will celebrate its 59th season with an Opening Day ceremony this Saturday, April 2 at Clahan/Laguna Park.  
The day will kick off with a AAA game at 9 a.m. followed by a Hit-a-Thon at 11:30 a.m.
Opening Day festivities will begin at 12 p.m. with the parade of teams, followed by the playing of the National Anthem with the local VFW Flag Guard.  A Hit-a-Thon for the AAA, Majors and Juniors will take place a 1:15 p.m. complete with awards.  
Official games will continue at 1:30 p.m (Clahan, Majors), 2:30 p.m. (Laguna, Juniors), 4 p.m. (Clahan, AAA) and 7 p.m. Polley Field (Majors).  
A fully stocked snack shack will be up and running all day, serving grilled burgers, hot dogs and soft drinks. A booth will also be open selling SLL logo shirts, hats and hoodies.
Established in 1957, the Sebastopol Little League has been a rite of passage for thousands of local kids, providing great competition while emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship.  This year some 350 players will participate beginning this month and concluding with the All-Star tournaments in July.
