Local high school basketball teams will wrap up the Sonoma County League schedule this week, with at least one local squad hoping to extend its season.

The Healdsburg High School girl’s golf squad came up short against West County in a North Bay League match at the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club on Sept. 20, falling to the hosts, 283-313.

The Windsor softball team dodged a series of storms this week to get in a pair of games on the pre-league circuit, notching home victories over Sonoma Valley and Terra Linda.

There were few surprises in the final week of the Sonoma County League softball season, as the Lady Tigers closed it out with wins over El Molino and Piner to forge a co-championship with Petaluma at 11-1.

Cloverdale High Eagles Cheer program was able to participate in a United Spirit Association camp this summer thanks to the Eagle Pride Boosters. According to cheer coach Crystal Stone, “The girls were able to gain valuable stunting experience and find ways to increase their gameday presence for the upcoming season.” 

“It was an off night for our shooters,” Athletic Director Kevin Hardesty said. “The hustle and effort were there, but in the end we didn’t shoot well enough to advance.”
