Eagles compete at CMC Cross Country Championships

The Cloverdale Eagles cross country team raced at the Coastal Mountain Conference Championships at Spring Lake in Santa Rosa on Nov. 13, turning in an outstanding collective effort.

The boys team has not been able to get much traction in the rain-soaked field, and neither have most of its opponents. The NBL-Redwood league standings show many of the teams have more tie games than either wins or losses. The Greyhounds, for instance, have two wins and no losses, but four tie games—Piner High, just ahead of them in the league standings, is 3-0-3.

The season ends with two games against Piner, on May 7 (in Healdsburg) and May 9 (at Piner). League and division playoff schedules are yet to be announced, but the Greyhounds have had good luck in post season play in recent years, under coach Mark Domenichelli.

Athletes of the Week 5-26-16

Throughout the school year, the Windsor Times will name a male and female athlete of the week. Recipients will receive a free small soda, small bag of chips and sandwich from Pohley’s Market.
