The Lady Eagles continued to navigate at tough NCL1 varsity basketball schedule on Jan. 3, giving host Lower Lake all they wanted before falling to the Trojans in a hard-fought, 52-46 loss.

Dominant victory runs Cloverdale’s season record to 11-0

Two months of hard work and preparation will be put to the test this week as the Healdsburg High School varsity basketball teams embark on what should be a competitive North Bay League campaign.

The varsity basketball Eagles played host to three other teams in a scaled down 55th annual John McMillan Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament on Dec. 9-11, winning all three games played to claim the first place trophy.

The Cloverdale High School ladies basketball team is out to a strong start to the league schedule, scoring an impressive, 64-55 home win over Roseland University Prep on Dec. 14. Sophomore Tylie Hatcher led the offense with 27 points, while senior veteran Summer Lands chipped in 24 for the Eagles.  

The Greyhounds kicked off the winter soccer campaign with a pair of recent hard-fought matches, falling to perennial powers Windsor and Maria Carrillo.

The longest running high school basketball tournament in Northern California was a rousing success following a one-year hiatus, as Healdsburg played host to seven other boys teams in the 72nd annual Redwood Empire Invitational Basketball Tournament (REIBT) on Dec. 8-11.  

The Lady Greyhounds held a hoops party with everyone invited last weekend at the 72nd annual Redwood Empire Invitational Basketball Tournament, claiming two wins in three outings to earn a second place trophy.

The high school wrestling season kicks off in earnest this month with a flurry of action, and the Cloverdale Eagles are eager to compete in what should be a strong winter campaign.

Cloverdale off to winning start under head coach Jared Greninger
