The Cloverdale Eagles, the top seed in the North Coast Section Division V boys basketball playoffs, are done for the season after falling 53-44 to No. 8 seed Redwood Christian of San Lorenzo on Saturday in the quarterfinal round at Cloverdale High School.

The Lady Jaguars are locked and loaded for the winter soccer campaign, hopeful that a tough preseason schedule and treacherous North Bay League season will produce one of the best years in the program’s history.

The Healdsburg girls tennis team is off to another strong season with several match victories already. Last year’s No. 1 player, Meher Dhiman, is back as a senior in the top slot, followed in order by Amelia Wickersham, Claire Berry and Sana Katsuki.

Healdsburg’s cross country program is historically strong, but this year’s runners have set a high bar even for Greyhounds. At the North Bay League Championships meet last weekend, on Nov. 8, three of the top four finishers in the boys varsity, and five of the top 10, represented Healdsburg.
