The Jaguars finished up a resurgent winter soccer campaign in the opening round of the North Coast Section Division 2 playoffs on Feb. 19, dropping a hard-fought, 2-1 decision to visiting Casa Grande.

A record twelve Our Lady of Guadalupe church teams competed in playoff semi-final games last weekend. Six won and have advanced to this weekend’s Catholic Youth Organization finals. Four 3rd grade teams will play in the Church of the Assumption Tournament in Tomales.

Meet signals end of historic season for Cloverdale  

Analy and El Molino wrestling teams combined to send eight athletes to the North Coast Section boys and girls championship tournaments on Feb. 21 and 22, the final qualifier for the CIF State Championships.

The Lady Lions and Tigers reached the end of a three-month basketball journey this week in their respective North Coast Section playoff tournaments, putting the final touches on a couple of outstanding seasons.

The high school soccer season officially came to an end for three local teams on Feb. 19, each falling in the first round of the North Coast Section playoffs.

The Lady Eagle’s varsity basketball team was crowned champion of the NCL1 for the third straight season, closing out the league schedule with one win in two outings. The team finished the league campaign with a 13-1 record, two full games ahead of second place Middletown. 

The varsity basketball Eagles will begin the final phase of the 2019-20 campaign this week, taking the court as the No. 5 seed in the 16-team North Coast Section Division 5 playoff tournament.
