The varsity basketball Eagles are coming off a busy week on the league schedule, logging two wins in three outings.

The Eagles put the wraps on a tough NCL-1 football campaign on Friday in the regular-season finale at league champion Fort Bragg, falling to the unbeaten Timberwolves, 41-0.

To look at the scoreboard of many recent Healdsburg Prune Packers games, one might think that’s softball being played on the field. On June 14, the Stockton Pearls fell 20-1, and the Bay Area Marauders went down 24-5 on June 15. These are scores more frequently found on diamonds where the bases are 60 feet apart, not 90. In softball, at least at the high school level, the “mercy rule” ends a game early if there’s a 10-point spread. No such rule affects collegiate baseball. 

It was another successful volleyball season for the Eagles, wrapping up the 2018 campaign with a pair of matches last week.

Governor’s ruling paves way for most outdoor sports to be played this spring

Windsor High School wrestlers continued to hone their skills in tournaments all over Northern California this month, with several athletes bringing home hard-earned medals.

Local fans will have a front row seat to the fastest growing high school sport in the nation as the Lady Jaguars showcase strength and talent during the much anticipated 2019-20 wrestling campaign.
