The 37th annual Kiwanis All-Star Football Game, now known as the
Richard Bigham Memorial All-Star Game, will be held on Saturday,
July 24 at Bailey Field on the Santa Rosa Junior College
campus.
The gates open at 7 p.m. and kickoff is set for 8 p.m.
The annual gridiron clash will pit the graduating senior
All-Stars from the Sonoma County League against their North Bay
League counterparts. In addition, several senior stars from St.
Vincent and Tomales High Schools will also participate.
Last year, The NBL snapped a three-game losing streak in the
series, defeating the SCL All-Stars, 28-10.
The West County will be well-represented by Analy grads; wide
receiver Chris Bostock (injured, will not play), wide receiver Ryan
Beretta, kicker Sal Torres, and linemen Brandon Riebli, and Robert
Leon.
El Molino All-Stars include tight-end/linebacker Dakota
Lerner-Ross, and running back/linebacker TJ Monticello.
The SCL coaches are Trent Herzog (Casa Grande), Bruce Rhode
(Casa Grande), Frank Giammona (Casa Grande), Todd Smith (Casa
Grande), Marcell Lawson (Casa Grande), John Howard (Casa Grande),
Brett Matthews (Casa Grande), John Antonio (Casa Grande), Taylor
Galloway (St. Vincent), Justin Galloway (St Vincent), and Mike
Skinner (Windsor).
Piner’s Matt Tomlin will head the coaching staff for the
NBL.
General admission is $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and
children ages 10 and under will be admitted free. All proceeds from
the games will be funneled back into the community.
