The season is heating up for West County volleyball teams, as
Analy and El Molino open the NCS playoffs this week.
The fifth-seeded Tigers drew an opening-round bye and will
travel to fourth-seeded Albany this Saturday, Nov. 13 in a 7 p.m.
match.  Should Analy win, they will most likely travel to face
top-seeded Campolindo next Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.
“The fifth seed is about what I expected,” said Analy coach
Nancy Williams, who led the Tigers to an NCS title in 2006. “We
haven’t played them but I know they’re a good team and have a great
sophomore middle blocker.”
The complete list of NCS Division-3 teams in order of seeding is
Campolindo (27-3), Sir Francis Drake (32-5), Miramonte (24-12),
Albany (27-5), Analy (23-10), Moreau Catholic (25-8), Petaluma

at press time was preparing to open against visiting Ursuline on
Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.  If the Lions advance, they’ll face
the winner of the Lick-Wilmerding-St. Patrick-St. Vincent match
this Saturday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m.
The list of NCS Division-4 teams includes: Marin Catholic
(25-13), Berean Christian (24-3), Salesian (24-8), St. Patrick/St.
Vincent (25-9), El Molino (28-9), St. Mary’s (22-12), St. Helena
(25-3), Willits (21-12), Justin Siena (13-15), Healdsburg (20-15),
McKinleyville (23-11), Ursuline (16-14), Lick Wilmerding (16-11),
and Cloverdale (17-14).
Analy and El Mo are part of a six-team Sonoma County League
contingent that landed NCS post-season berths in their respective
divisions, illustrating just how strong the league was this year.
Casa Grande landed the sixth seed in Division-2, while Petaluma and
Sonoma are seeded seventh and ninth in Division-3. Healdsburg is
the 10th seed in Division-4.
