The Analy girls completed their best league soccer campaign in
10 years last week, slipping by Sonoma, 1-0.
The win gave the Tigers a final SCL mark of 8-4 (15-4-1
overall), good for third place in league behind repeat champion
Casa Grande and second place Windsor.
The win on Arnold Field in  Sonoma did not come easily, as Analy
pulled it out with a goal from Mackenzie Boulton off a corner kick
from Caina Field in the waning minutes.  Credit Field with an
outstanding performance at midfield, and goalie Keaton Wheeler with
the 12th shutout of the season for the Tigers.
On Sunday, the Tigers were awarded the seventh seed in the
14-team NCS Division-1 tournament this week, and at press time were
preparing to host 10th-seeded Sonoma Academy on Nov. 3 at Karlson
Field (5 p.m.).  Should Analy win, they’ll visit second seeded
Montgomery on Saturday, Nov. 6 (time TBA).
With momentum on their sideline and a core of seasoned veterans
on the field, Analy is primed for a deep run in the NCS
tourney.
“Regardless of what happens now in the NCS, we have achieved our
team goal of making the playoffs.” Said Tiger coach Joseph Heil. “I
think the girls now want more, and want to take it to the next
level in the playoffs.”
The list of girls NCS Division-1 tournament teams in order of
seeding is: Maria Carrillo (17-0-1), Montgomery (15-3-4), Casa
Grande (11-2-3), Ursuline (12-4-1), Santa Rosa (9-4-2), Windsor
