Born Oct. 31, 1926 in Montesson France, Lucienne entered into
rest with her Heavenly Father on June 6, 2008 at 10:05 p.m. She
joins her deceased husband of 60 years, Arthur (Buck) Boehm. She is
survived by her three children, daughter Lucienne Hebert (Guy),
daughter Denise Gebb (Brandon Hill), and son Michael Boehm
(Jeanette). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Ashley and
Alexis Gebb, and Constantina, Angelica, and Vic Boehm. Lucienne is
also survived by her sister-in-law, Florence Musselman, several
nieces and nephews in California and France, with special
recognition to Skip and Gail Boehm, and her niece in France,
Francette Chesneau. Lucienne was raised in a small village outside
of Paris, and spent her teenage years under the Nazi Occupation.
Her soon to be husband, Buck, came into France on the third wave of
D-Day and found his way to the small village of Montesson. He
quickly became friends with a local store-owner who took him home
for dinner, the rest is history! He met Lucienne, they fell in
love, married and then honeymooned at the Mont Saint Michel. The
next step was to come home to the United States and they sailed
here together on the Queen Mary and entered through Ellis Island.
They were met by her new father-in-law who then drove them across
the United States to settle in Healdsburg. Lucienne quickly adapted
to her new life, taking occasional waitress jobs, and becoming
close friends with another local French family. Shortly after they
moved to Cloverdale, where Lucienne spent her remaining years
raising her family, and eventually worked at both Asti and Bandiera
Wineries. Her passion always remained with her children and
grandchildren, however bowling and playing cards and preparing
incredible French meals were a close second. She was a member of
St. Peter’s Catholic Church and active in the parish until health
concerns limited her abilities. Donations are suggested to either
Home Hospice or a local charity of your choice.
