Good food – The Healdsburg Rotary Club sponsored and organized
the annual Senior Club Thanksgiving Lunch on Monday at the
Healdsburg Senior Center. More than 120 seniors were served at the
lunch that has become a tradition among the members of the Senior
Center. Rotarians, city councilmembers and police department
employees Colleen Simmons and Stacey Miller all pitched in to help
serve the grateful seniors who got a full turkey dinner with all of
the fixings followed by a piece of pie for dessert. This year’s
organizing committee was Mike McGuire, Jerry Ogden, Henk Peeters,
David Mickaelian, Phyllis Daniels and Senior Center Director Sonja
Drown. The meal was catered by “Worth our Weight” and the
Healdsburg Police Officers Association donated funds to help pay
for the event as well.
