Healdsburg City Hall
CITY HALL Healdsburg’s City Hall, once located at the corner of the Plaza, now sits three blocks away at 401 Grove St.

The City of Healdsburg is seeking qualified applicants to fill four open positions on two important commissions: two vacancies on the Parks and Recreation Commission, and two vacancies on the Senior Citizens Advisory Commission.

Both commissions have seven members, as is the standard for such bodies in the city—save for the City Council, which has five. Odd-numbered panels are preferred so tie votes do not occur (a tie is a “no” in procedural votes). Just a few months ago the Planning Commission named a seventh member, breaking up the potential of a tie vote in the six-member commission. Though preference is given to the residents of Healdsburg, not all commissions require a 95448 address.

The Parks and Recreation Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council on policies and programs related to public parks and recreation, including the Badger Park upgrade now in progress. Its primary purpose is identifying and addressing the needs related to the City’s parks, schools, playgrounds, open space and recreational facilities, as well as advising the City Council.

The Senior Citizens Advisory Commission advocates for the needs and interests of Healdsburg’s older adult residents, creating or increasing awareness of those needs among the broader population and advising the City Council, boards and commissions, and private agencies on those needs.

Those interested in applying will find applications available on the City’s website under Government: Boards and Commissions at ow.ly/PGwu50TIZYk or by emailing City Clerk Raina Allan at ra****@********rg.gov.

All completed applications must be submitted to the Office of the City Clerk by 5:30pm Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026.
