Peruse the past during the Sonoma County Archive Crawl

The West County Museum will be participating in a  county-wide event named Archive Crawl on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. This is a rare and unusual, behind-the-scenes look at our museum.

Sebastopol Center for the Arts showcases the films of Quinn Halleck

As part of its young filmmaker series, Sebastopol Center for the Arts will showcase the work of filmmaker and Analy alum Quinn Halleck on Saturday, July 27, at 5:30 p.m. The three short films include “As Advised,” “To College” and “Beyond Nepal.”

Fiber arts exhibit, Aug. 2 to Sept. 8

Local art lovers are looking forward to the opening of the ninth biennial Fiber Art juried exhibition at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts. The show, which is held every two years, runs for five weeks from Aug. 2 to Sept. 8. There will be an opening reception on Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. at Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 S. High St.

Author and painter Obi Kaufmann will be at Copperfield’s in Sebastopol on June 14, discussing his new book, “The State of Water: Understanding California’s Most Precious Resource,” published by Heyday Books.
