How Peptoc won the internet
One of the most viral web phenomeon of late was Peptoc—a phone line that anyone can call and get a “pep talk” from Westside School students. It’s a public arts project, created by Jessica Martin and Asherah Weiss when their teaching careers overlapped at the small public school just outside Healdsburg.

When it comes to the band’s fondness for British rock, Cummings recalls how he and guitarist/co-writer Randy Bachman were glued to their radios as kids growing up in Winnipeg, Canada. They soon went on to form Guess Who, a stable of hard rock radio in 1970.
Healdsburg Center for the Arts has found a new home
After 20 years at the same quaint location at 130 Plaza St., the Healdsburg Center for the Arts (HCA) will be taking up new digs at 334 Center St. — the current home of Plaza Paints — and will reopen this fall.

Multicultural Center takes shape at Abel de Luna
Bursts of color explode from every corner and every angle of the newly repainted Abel de Luna Community Center on the north side of town. Fuchsia, sunflower, marigold, plum and chrysanthemum abut and juxtapose with one another on the many outside walls and columns, as two muralists work on their own visions of Healdsburg.
