The shooter has mental health issues. Duh, I think anyone who perpetrates a mass shooting has mental health issues. I also believe most of us have mental health issues. The rest of us work at keeping ours under control. The problem is that it is getting harder and harder to do that.

My younger sister was the slob of my family when growing up. I hate to say it, but she was. She simply didn’t care about where she left her stuff: backpack, shoes, dirty dishes. The house was constantly littered with her things. Over and over my mom would ask her to pick up after herself but my sister never seemed to catch on to the idea of cleaning. One day my mom had finally had enough. Quite frankly I think we all had. So, she came up with an idea that would forever change my sister’s messy habits.
A call for involvement
I am proud to be the mayor of Healdsburg. Four years ago my public high school students inspired me to run for my hometown’s city council. My son and daughter, their friends, my neighborhood, community groups and my core values supported me. After a three-week delay, I did, indeed, win the election by 40 votes.
