If the Rain Comes, They Run and Hide Their Heads

In February 2019, Healdsburg got 20.8 inches of rain in 48 hours, causing flooding of the Russian River, shown in the left picture.  Flood waters crested just below the decking of the old railway bridge. It was the worst flooding in 24 years, cresting at...

Valentines for our schools

Seeing teachers last week picketing in downtown Sebastopol and other teachers filling seats in front of school board meetings in Windsor, Cloverdale and Healdsburg reminds us we are beginning another school budget cycle. We need both faith and determination but we can brighten this holiday season with practical acts of giving, sharing, being joyful and guarding our health.

‘Angels’ lands at Raven Performing Arts

:Every Sunday matinee we do a post-show discussion with the audience, so they get a chance to make comments and ask questions of the actors. We saw there were a lot of people who were quite moved and quite touched by the play. So the opening weekend could not have gone better, as far as I’m concerned," said director Steven David Martin.
