Healdsburg Forever shares donations with nonprofits
The June 5 Healdsburg Forever event at Appellation’s Grange Hall was a terrific success for donors and recipients, enriching the diversity and resilience of our community. As an endowed fund of the Community Foundation Sonoma County, Healdsburg Forever has served Healdsburg and Geyserville for 22 years.

Admission is always free at the museum, open Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Flashbacks: Parades past in Healdsburg
The second annual Future Farmers Country Fair, held Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19, 1951, at the Legion Grounds, in the opinion of all who participated was a rousing success. Starting with the noon parade Friday there was “something doing every minute.”

This is my last week at the newspaper. I’ve been hired by the Sonoma County Library, where I plan to advocate for free public libraries as ardently as I have for a free press.

Multicultural Center takes shape at Abel de Luna
Bursts of color explode from every corner and every angle of the newly repainted Abel de Luna Community Center on the north side of town. Fuchsia, sunflower, marigold, plum and chrysanthemum abut and juxtapose with one another on the many outside walls and columns, as two muralists work on their own visions of Healdsburg.
