Stone Soup Wednesdays for seniors brings community together
The folk tale about a hungry traveler coming to town asking for something to eat, but finding no one willing to offer hospitality, has been told for centuries throughout Europe, Russia, China and even in Native American culture. While no one knows for sure if this tale is true, its enduring message about sharing a meal with others is still relevant today.

Return to the Russian River
When Jake Messing stood in front of the mural he had just completed for Russian Riverkeeper on the north side of the nonprofit’s headquarters at 139 Healdsburg Ave., he had finished more than another mural. He had made a return to the source from the sea himself, like the salmon he portrayed.
