“Successful,” “college/career ready,” “prepared” are all words that we use frequently when we talk about what we want for our students. But how do we define these words and what do they look like in our students and high school graduates?

On Thursday, Jan. 30th, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Windsor Round Table pizza restaurant, the Windsor Democratic Club will hear presentations from representatives of campaigns for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. Each campaign representative will speak briefly, and then answer questions.

Just before Christmas, a friend shared a hilarious find: a Fisher-Price Charcuterie Board Set for the preschooler in your life. It has “marble” plates, marble-and-wood cutting board and wooden spreaders. It has stemmed grape bunches, a wheel of brie, crackers and a small salami, sliced invitingly. Napkins say, “You’re Grape” and “Let it Brie.”

Return to the Russian River
When Jake Messing stood in front of the mural he had just completed for Russian Riverkeeper on the north side of the nonprofit’s headquarters at 139 Healdsburg Ave., he had finished more than another mural. He had made a return to the source from the sea himself, like the salmon he portrayed.
