Keeping the Faith: The least and the most
Years ago, a few weeks before Christmas, our friend and neighbor Jessie King rose up in church and appealed for us to bring shoeboxes filled with combs and hair brushes and little toys for the severely handicapped children in the state hospital near Glen Ellen. She said many of these children are all but forgotten and never receive Christmas presents. She said she would like the gifts placed on the communion table so they could be blessed before she took them to the hospital.

The Healdsburg Certified Farmers’ Market ended for the season Nov. 25, but I thought I’d write one more column to close out the season, and then will take a break until April, a month before we open for 2018.

Thanks to the city for holding the Montage information session last Wednesday. The broad interest and variety of critical questions show that the public is not only watching but wants a speedy resolution that preserves the affordable housing site at Montage and other community benefits written into the development agreement.

‘Angels’ lands at Raven Performing Arts
:Every Sunday matinee we do a post-show discussion with the audience, so they get a chance to make comments and ask questions of the actors. We saw there were a lot of people who were quite moved and quite touched by the play. So the opening weekend could not have gone better, as far as I’m concerned," said director Steven David Martin.
