The Student Council at Fitch Mountain Campus is sponsoring a
“Pennies for Patients” campaign. February 1 – 14 the students will
be collecting pennies (or all change) for kids who have Leukemia or
lymphoma. This campaign is run through the Bay Area Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society. Please bring your loose change, or checks made
out to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by the school at 520 Monte
Vista Avenue or check with your neighborhood students to help fill
their donation container.
On February 12, Healdsburg Junior High students will participate
in the First Annual Dance Your Heart Out fundraiser in the school
gymnasium from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Dance Your Heart Out is an activity
based fundraiser for the HJH PTO where students will dance for
eight 20 minute blocks of time to raise money for award assemblies,
enrichment classes, end of year activities and other expenses
otherwise not covered by the school budget. Dance Your Heart Out
encourages full student participation and is meant to be fun, heart
healthy, and 100 percent of the money raised goes directly to the
school. Checks can be sent to the school at 315 Grant Street. For
