As of Jan. 13, the DistrictR tool was live and functional, and anyone can draw up a city map of four, five or six districts, with the five-district model the only option for a rotating mayor, as Healdsburg has at present. Various tools are located in the upper right corner, as is common in such applications—a hand tool to move the map, a pen tool to select a district and color it, an eraser tool to fall back on. Residents have another three weeks to work with the mapping tool....

Windsor asks SMART to slow their roll

The affected routes are the three earliest departures from Windsor, headed southbound to Larkspur. Morning departure times scheduled at 4:35, 4:58 and 5:30am will be temporarily discontinued starting Monday, June 23. The first morning departure on weekdays will then become 6:02am. The reason: those damn train horns wake up the residents.

Fire in ‘the Lanes’ brings out the neighbors

On the evening of Thursday, May 29, residents of the east Healdsburg neighborhood known as “the Lanes” were alarmed by multiple fire trucks and first responders racing up Powell Avenue to Pordon Lane, where they turned to respond to a reported structure fire in the 700 block.
