In the early morning hours of May 14, a hit-and-run accident occurred on Hudson Street at Front Street. The RP requested police check the area. Officers arrived on scene and located the RP’s vehicle that was legally parked with damage to the body. Officers located a trail of oil leading to a suspect vehicle possibly involved in the accident. The vehicle was towed for evidence and a report was taken

“Scholarship Night is truly a testament to the generosity of the community of Healdsburg and how much our town cares about our young people,” said Shelley Anderson, the school’s scholarship coordinator. “Because of our robust and bountiful scholarship program and donors, many of our HHS graduates are able to get their four-year degrees with minimal or no debt.”

Flashbacks: 1975 Wine Fest gets out of control

News from 1975: The event was marred by several fights late in the afternoon. As the afternoon wore on a number of young children were permitted by their parents to splash and play in the Plaza fountain. The children frequently squirted water on Fest guests and were difficult to control. Healdsburg Police arrested two men on charges of resisting arrest and disturbing the peace, after officer Don McNair was reportedly jumped by them.

With this season’s NBL play now passed, both the boys baseball and girls softball teams look forward to the North Coast Section tournament of the top 16 teams in each division. The girls play in Division 5, the boys in Division 4.
