Healdsburg Museum officials shared these pics of the opening ceremony a couple weekends ago for their latest exhibit: a stunning collection of baskets and other works by Pomo artists.

“Congratulations to co-curators Meyo Marrufo, Silver Galleto and the Pomo Weavers Society for a beautiful exhibition and fantastic opening reception,” they wrote on Facebook. “After 3 months of gallery renovations, we reopened the Museum for a members’ reception with the Native artists. People seemed very pleased with the exhibition and the gallery improvements. Silver Galleto honored the occasion by opening with a Southern Pomo blessing song. Feeling very blessed.”

You can stop by the museum from 11am-4pm any day except Monday and Tuesday to catch this show for free.
