It is hard to believe that we started our OB-GYN practice in Healdsburg 34 years ago! So many great memories and touching moments—from all of the babies we’ve helped bring into the world to all of the patients we’ve cared for—and we have treasured this opportunity.
Medicine in Sonoma County has changed in so many ways over these years, but it is still an amazingly rewarding calling and so fulfilling to care for patients and their families. We thank you for entrusting us with your care.
But it’s come time to hang up our stethoscopes. We will be retiring our office after Jan. 16, 2026.
We are so happy we’ve had the opportunity to be a part of this community, and plan to continue to remain here and support Healdsburg. It’s been really touching letting patients know, and getting their reactions and good wishes.
We are happy to know that there are great choices of OB/GYN’s available and accepting new patients. We did send patients a letter with some suggestions, but patients can also call the Sonoma Mendo Lake Medical Association (previously Sonoma County Medical Association). Their number is: (707) 525-4275.
Patients can also call or email us for suggestions tailored to their needs.
Sincerely,
Brad Drexler, MD and Pam Drexler, RN

History is community
Thanks for the good feature about the History Talks last week (“History comes alive for Healdsburg,” Jan. 1). Our first winter talk last night at the library was a big success. We had 82 people, SRO again. About half the crowd were our regulars and half were newcomers.
Your article, the library’s publicity efforts and continued messaging from the Museum all helped get the word out.
One thing I noticed … at the end of the talks more than half the audience stuck around and chatted for 20 minutes (even though it was dinner time.) I really think this whole program is a lot about a sense of community.
