Welcome to the new look of the Healdsburg Tribune
This dynamic remake sets the stage for our future evolution as Healdsburg’s hometown media company. Our mission to report on news and culture, stay relevant and deliver a publication that’s as vibrant as the people who call the Healdsburg area home.
A Meaningful Plan
The Healdsburg City Council is poised to adopt a resolution next week that has a lot of, well, potential. The resolution “acknowledging and embracing the community’s diversity; and expressing the city’s commitment to non-discrimination and inclusivity,” has the potential to bring Healdsburg residents together in strength and in solidarity.
I appreciate it
It was one of those great Sonoma County spring mornings. Sun shining, wind blowing. Pollen – and hope – in the air. I walked out on my veranda overlooking the nine-hole golf course I recently completed. I relaxed, with mimosa in hand, while watching the kids frolic on the water slide they crafted for a science fair project at school (using only recycled water from our indoor waterfall) and smiled knowing that my family is set financially for the rest of our lives, and my children will be attending the finest colleges in the land with perhaps some overseas study to broaden their understanding and appreciation of different cultures.
Arts & Entertainment
The good, the bad and the Oscars
Now that the nominations have been announced, let’s talk about them and what people should try to see before the big show. And once we get closer (the Oscars are March 15 this year), I’ll write my annual piece on what will win versus what should win.
