Open drug use, serial arguments, unsafe lane changes and more violations reported to Healdsburg Police

Early morning drama: "12:50am The Reporting Party (RP) on Mill Street said that a reckless driver exited Hwy 101 and parked at Wells Fargo. The RP said the driver almost hit her at a high rate of speed, slammed on his brakes, passed the RP and then swerved on the highway before taking the exit. The caller was transferred to California Highway Patrol..."

On the Nov. 6 ballot, there will be six candidates vying for three spots on the Cloverdale City Council. The city council election comes around every other year and is on a rotating election schedule (of the five council spots, two were elected during the last city council election and three are being elected this year); during the 2016 election, Councilmembers Melanie Bagby and Mary Ann Brigham were voted into office.

Monday, Feb. 24, 12:33am A vehicle was stopped on Healdsburg Avenue for not complying with rear lighting rules. A 29-Year-Old (YO) man was arrested and transported to county jail for drunk driving and  violating probation....

11:28am An accident with property damage was reported on Hwy 101 at Dry Creek Road. A Healdsburg officer located a damaged vehicle in the No. 1 lane and waited for California Highway Patrol to arrive. The officer searched the area for the suspect vehicle, but it was gone on arrival and unable to be located.

JAM SESSSION — The 43rd annual Old Time Fiddle Festival was held last weekend on March 7. The festival came back after a yearlong hiatus and seemed to take a hit in attendance as a result of COVID-19. During the event, event director Judith Jones said that two scheduled vendors dropped out before the event due to the virus and that she expected attendance took a hit for the same reason.
