Police Log, March 23 – 29

This week's police news starts off, "7:39am The Reporting Party (RP) on Old Redwood Highway was assaulted on March 21, 2026. He was punched in the face and pushed to the ground. The information was relayed to Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO). A Sheriff’s deputy responded and subsequently contacted the suspect. The suspect was arrested by SCSO."

Police Log, July 1 – 7

Crimes and concerns reported to Healdsburg Police Department, between July 1-7. This included the 4th of July week, so there are several reports of illegal fireworks and late-night noises....

What’s the difference between a violin and a fiddle? Nothing, really, except maybe an approach to playing it and the musical style. Fiddle is actually just a nickname for the violin, although any bowed string instrument can be called a fiddle (or so Wikipedia tells me). But most of the time, a fiddle is a violin. Just played in a different style.

Police Log Aug. 26 – Sept. 1

The RP at Healdsburg Gas Mart on Healdsburg Avenue indicated that a woman went into the store and asked the RP to have sex with her in the bathroom. She was with a man in a vehicle. Officers responded and arrested a 28-YO woman for being under the influence of a controlled substance, public intoxication and violating probation. She was transported to county jail.

Police Log, Jan. 6 – 12, 2025

Healdsburg Police
At 12:25pm, petty theft occurred at Big John’s Market on Healdsburg Avenue. A man stole a sandwich worth $10.74. An officer responded, spoke to the RP and subsequently contacted the suspect at his residence. The theft may have been accidental, and the suspect went back to the store to settle his tab.

Petty theft, arguing couples, random graffiti and a pedestrian under the influence are a few of the transgressions reported to Healdsburg Police earlier this month.

Police Log, Sept. 29-Oct 5

On Monday, Sept. 29, at 2:24pm Drunk driving was reported at The Matheson on Matheson Street. While en route, an officer saw a naked woman in front of the restaurant. The 67-YO woman was arrested and transported to county jail for driving under the influence (DUI).

Turkey Time, Nov. 20

Over 100 bags of turkey, pie and stuffing were given out at the Cloverdale Food Pantry on Nov. 20 as a result of this year's annual Turkey Round-Up.
