On Wednesday, Nov. 4 the Cloverdale Police Department participated in the Special Olympics Torch Run for Sonoma County law enforcement. 

The Cloverdale Citrus Fair couldn’t have been welcomed in with better weather last weekend. The fair, which was held from Feb. 14 to Feb. 17, celebrated its 128th year.

Among this week's entries: "8:29am The Reporting Party (RP) stated that while he was leaving Safeway on Vine Street the previous day, he saw a vehicle back into his vehicle. He tried to get the driver’s attention but the person drove off. The RP was not the owner of the vehicle and stated the vehicle was a company car. An officer advised the RP to have the owner of the vehicle call the police department if the owner wanted a report...."

WALKING FOR WATER — The Cloverdale High School Key Club hosted its first annual Save the Rain-Bow Color Blast on Sept. 15. According to Key Club Advisor Sue Cummins, the blast had a total of 21 volunteers (from the Kiwanis Club, Key Club and Builders Club) and 64 participants. Blast attendees of all ages ran, walked and jogged their way through stations of colored cornstarch. The Key Club raised approximately $1900, which will go toward bringing clean water to 125 children in Africa. 

12:43pm The RP indicated that between four and six juveniles were on the beach of Healdsburg Veterans Memorial Beach near the boat dock when he heard two gunshots three minutes apart.
