Petty theft, arguing couples, random graffiti and a pedestrian under the influence are a few of the transgressions reported to Healdsburg Police earlier this month.
Fiddling Around, March 7
JAM SESSSION — The 43rd annual Old Time Fiddle Festival was held last weekend on March 7. The festival came back after a yearlong hiatus and seemed to take a hit in attendance as a result of COVID-19. During the event, event director Judith Jones said that two scheduled vendors dropped out before the event due to the virus and that she expected attendance took a hit for the same reason.

7:01am Employees on Healdsburg Avenue found evidence of a commercial burglary. There was a broken window and blood on the ground by the window. Officers responded, checked the building and did not locate any suspects. A report was taken. Subsequently the owner of the business reported a vehicle missing.

Victory parade
A parade of some 30-odd cars filled with joyous voters wound its way from Santa Rosa to the Windsor Town Green, celebrating the victory of president-elect Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris. Cars were decorated with flags, banners and stickers, and drivers honked their horns and waved and cheered at the small crowd greeting them at the Green. California state senator Mike McGuire and newly elected Rohnert Park Councilmember Jackie Elward were participants in the parade organized by Pat Sabo of the Sonoma County Democrats.

Police Log, April 7- 13
Early Monday morning, at 1:37am, The RP said he was scammed via the internet. The suspect told the RP to pay to avoid the suspect posting information to the public via Telegram. The RP sent the suspect $300 through PayPal. The RP was advised to contact his bank about the scam and also to delete and block the suspect. The RP was provided with the websites www.ic3.gov and www.ftc.gov.

Police Log, May 5-11
Saturday, May 10, 5:25-9:39pm: Multiple incidents regarding the same woman who called the PD requesting assistance but could not be found when officers arrived. Other RPs also called about the woman's irrational behavior and yelling, from Vine Street, the High School and Healdsburg District Hospital. She called 911 nine times over the day but remained uncooperative. Police are aware of her identity but as of yet she has not been charged with a crime.
