BROKEN GLASS A rock thrown at the Healdsburg Police Station on May 25 was apparently the last straw for law enforcement, which sent repeat offender Alexis Jimenez Martinez, 19, to county jail. His court appearances began June 1.

Monday, May 18

7:25am The Reporting Party (RP) on Valley View Drive said an unknown person was going through the mail. The concern was documented and the RP was advised to call back if the situation was active.

9:26am The RP on Lupine Road said items valued at approximately $100 were missing from her unlocked vehicle. Items included a sweater, a hand radio, gift cards and a prescription. The RP wanted to press charges if the suspect was identified.

10:25am Two people were arguing over personal property in front of L&M Motel on Healdsburg Avenue. The people were separated, but the RP wanted law enforcement to respond to ensure the argument did not escalate. Officers responded and facilitated the return of property.

2:33pm The RP at Plaza Park on Healdsburg Avenue said two people were in a physical fight in Plaza Park. A 55-Year-Old (YO) man was arrested and brought to county jail for obstruction of an officer, contempt of court, battery on a person in a park and vandalism of property.

9:46pm A traffic stop was conducted on Healdsburg Avenue at March Avenue for violation of vehicle registration. A 31-YO man was cited for violation of probation.

Tuesday, May 19

8:01am The RP at Sonoma County Trading Company on Healdsburg Avenue said vendors sold hot dogs on May 15-16 and left grease behind, which required power washing. The RP did not want to press charges but wanted the vendors to be advised of the complaint.

9:40am Occurred at Mix Garden Materials on Healdsburg Avenue. A WMA in his 60s drove through the fence and hit a tree. HPD units responded and took a report.

2:15pm The RP on Rosewood Drive believed someone had been living in the RP’s ADU on her property. The RP noticed clothes and food in the unit and that the furniture and refrigerator were moved from their original location. Officers responded to the unit. A 50-YO woman was later arrested for burglary and vandalism.

4:19pm A man attempted to steal $400 worth of clothes from the Healdsburg Running Company on Center Street. Officers responded and facilitated the return of the clothes. The RP wanted to file trespass paperwork against the person and was provided information on how to do so.

Wednesday, May 20

1:48am People were advised of a city ordinance violation at Plaza Park on Healdsburg Avenue.

12:44pm The RP on Lorraine Court notified the postal inspector that mail had been stolen. An officer took a report.

5:03pm A man drank two glasses of champagne valued at $120 at Healdsburg Bubble Bar on North Street. He then walked out without paying. While police looked for the man, he returned to the Bubble Bar and paid his debt. The 26-YO man was arrested and brought to county jail for violation of probation.

6:16pm Multiple callers indicated that approximately six shots were fired at Badger Park on Heron Drive. Officers responded and determined the incident was in the jurisdiction of the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office so it was referred to that office.

11:47pm An officer heard screaming on Plaza Street and subsequently saw a 42-YO man destroy the plants in front of a business. The man was arrested and brought to county jail for public intoxication.

Thursday, May 21

7:17am The RP said a man washed his clothes in the fountain at Plaza Park on Healdsburg Avenue. An officer responded and found no one washing clothes in the fountain. The officer advised nearby people of the complaint.

9:34am The RP on Langhart Court said his neighbor left his trash cans out on the roadway after pickup day in order to block people from parking there. The RP was told the complaint would be sent to code enforcement.

5:48pm A man at Plaza Park on Healdsburg Avenue stood in the fountain and drank the water out of the fountain. Officers responded and advised the man of the complaint.

5:58pm An intoxicated woman on Matheson Street was given a courtesy ride home.

6:06pm Construction involving the operation of a crane took place on Ward Street in violation of a city ordinance. An officer responded and advised the workers of the complaint. The construction was soon shut down.

Friday, May 22

8:33am A woman slept near the back door of BMO Bank on Center Street. The RP wanted the woman to be asked to leave. An officer advised the woman and she moved along.

10:38am The RP said two to three homeless people loitered near Dry Creek Kitchen on Healdsburg Avenue. The RP said the issue was ongoing and wanted the people to move along. The officers told the RP that a bike was being put back together and the people would soon move along.

2:34pm The RP on First Street was concerned a heritage tree was being cut down. The information was sent to code enforcement.

3:48pm Two men fought in the parking lot between The Elephant In The Room and The Parish on Healdsburg Avenue. Officers arrived and contacted one of the men involved. He was not willing to press charges.

4:21pm The RP on University Street wanted to speak to an officer regarding harassment from two other high school students. An officer gave advice.

9:19pm A vehicle was stopped near Healdsburg Gas Mart on Healdsburg Avenue for violation of vehicle registration rules. A 34-YO woman was arrested and brought to county jail for driving under the influence (DUI).

11:12pm A driver on Florence Lane at Powell Avenue was cited and released for underage DUI. The vehicle was turned over to a sober driver.

Saturday, May 23

1:51am A warrant service officer initiated activity on Sherman Street at Center Street. A 55-YO man was cited and released on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant regarding DUI of drugs and possession of methamphetamine.

7:51am The RP said he accidentally drove into the Baci Cafe and Wine Bar on Healdsburg Avenue. His vehicle was partially inside the structure. He declined medical assistance. Officers responded and handled the collision investigation while fire personnel assessed the building. The business owner was contacted regarding the damage. A report was taken.

12:32pm The RP on South Street said an intoxicated man threatened people, got close to individuals, waved his arms and screamed at passersby. A 43-YO man was arrested and brought to county jail for disorderly conduct under the influence of a drug and obstruction of an officer.

12:54pm Graffiti on a stop sign was reported on Chiquita Road at Grove Street.

3:55pm An officer contacted two people behind Safeway on Vine Street.  A 45-YO man was arrested and brought to county jail for possession of a controlled substance with two or more priors, obstruction of an officer and possession of unlawful paraphernalia.

9:55pm Officers contacted people at Plaza Park on Healdsburg Avenue regarding violation of a city ordinance. Officers also removed abandoned property.

11:06pm The bartender at John & Zekes on Healdsburg Avenue said a person would not leave the business upon request by staff. Officers arrived, but the man was gone on arrival and unable to be located.

Sunday, May 24

9:08am The RP at Healdsburg Community Church on University Avenue said a parked vehicle with a person sleeping in it was on the church grounds over the course of a week. Officers contacted the man, and he agreed to move on.

10:58pm The RP on Palm Avenue said two people argued with children inside a vehicle. The RP believed one of the parties may have struck someone. Officers responded and contacted the parties. A 35-YO man was arrested and brought to county jail for battery.
