Many more chapters to come
It’s only just beginning. Hundreds and hundreds of first-person accounts of both tragedy and loss and heroics and generosity will soon grow into thousands of interwoven threads that will become the history of the firestorm of October 2017. With time, the beginning hours of the wind-whipped firebombs and mass evacuations that started with a spark on Oct. 7 and 8 will be joined in historic texts by countless tales of rescue, relief and recovery.
The cost of free music
Summer time and the living is easy. Especially in our cozy, friendly small towns we call home and where we welcome streams of visitors, seeking respite, fun and some genuine modern Americana. School’s out, vacations are being planned and all our homebound chores seem to lessen. It’s festival and fair time and there’s a free concert almost every night of the week somewhere between Cloverdale, Guerneville, Sebastopol or the town squares of Windsor and Healdsburg.

Wheel of Light, February 2017
Each year there are four eclipses. Two occur during a new Moon, when the Moon blocks the Sun. Two occur at the full Moon, when the earth blocks the Moon. This month there will both kinds of eclipses. The full Moon lunar eclipse takes place on February 10 at 22 degrees of Leo and the new Moon solar eclipse happens on February 26 at 8 degrees of Pisces. The eclipse is most significant and impactfull when those degrees are occupied by a planet in one’s natal chart or if those degrees are on the angles of one’s natal chart.
