Midnight finally struck for the Cloverdale High School volleyball team in the North Coast Section Division 5 playoffs on Nov. 6, falling to Convent of the Sacred Heart in straight sets to wrap up an outstanding season.

The Cloverdale High School wrestling team will be represented by four athletes at the North Coast Section Championships on Feb. 21 and 22, each earning an NCS berth by virtue of a top three finish at the Coastal Mountain Conference meet last weekend.

The El Molino Lions boys squad took round one for west county soccer bragging rights on Jan. 14, slipping past arch rival Analy, 2-1 in a surprising upset win. The victory over the Tigers was the first in years for the Lions, making first half goals from Zack Strehlow and Cole Van Stone stand up for the win. Also turning in solid games were Lions defenders Jacob Cibrian and Indigo LaMere and midfielders Ryan Palmer and Jesse Gonzales.
