The high school softball season has arrived for the Lady Greyhounds, starting the 2022 spring schedule with strong expectations for a winning campaign.
The varsity basketball Greyhounds wrapped up a solid winter campaign in the opening round of the North Coast Section (NCS) Division 4 playoffs, falling in a heartbreaker at Del Norte, 45-44.
The No. 11 seeded Lady Greyhounds fell agonizingly short in the first round of the North Coast Section (NCS) Division 4 basketball tournament, falling at No. 6 seeded Terra Linda in a hotly contested game, 48-45.
The No. 12 seeded Greyhounds soccer team saw their rebuilding season come to an end in the first round of the North Coast Section Division 4 playoffs, coming out on the short end of a 3-1 result at No. 5 seeded Branson.
The Greyhounds were represented by a three-man contingent at the North Coast Section (NCS) Wrestling Championships in Union City on Feb. 18-19, the final qualifier for the CIF State tournament.
It will be David versus Goliath when the No. 16 seeded Cloverdale Lady Eagles visit top seeded juggernaut Marin Catholic when the teams meet on Feb. 16 (after press time) in the opening round of the North Coast Section basketball playoffs.
