Windsor Wicked U-12 softballers capture first in tourney
The Windsor Wicked 12 and under girls fast-pitch softball team is in the midst of an outstanding summer on the Northern California tournament circuit, most recently capturing first place in the Bill Bowen Invitational Tournament held in Sonoma on July 21-23. Windsor won all five of their games over the three-day weekend event.

The Jaguars took a huge step in their quest for a coveted North Bay League soccer title on Feb. 1, playing arguably their best match of the season in a 2-0 shutout win over the visiting Montgomery Vikings.
Cloverdale Chargers hold benefit car wash
Cloverdale Chargers football players, cheerleaders and coaches held a fundraiser car wash recently at Cloverdale High School. Cloverdale residents and even Cloverdale Police brought their vehicles to be washed and to support the cause. Proceeds will be used for uniforms and gear. Chargers football season will begin on Sunday, Sept. 11 with a game against the Hopland Bears at Cloverdale High School. The junior varsity will play at noon and varsity at 2 p.m.
