Coach Steve Kramer’s 3rd grade boys team finished their season with a 23-19 win over St. John’s Parish in Catholic Youth Organization play. The Our Lady of Guadalupe team used some outstanding shooting to go up 21-9 after three quarters but had to hold off St. John’s fourth quarter rally for the victory.

The Greyhounds were represented by a three-man contingent at the North Coast Section (NCS) Wrestling Championships in Union City on Feb. 18-19, the final qualifier for the CIF State tournament.

The West County High School (WCHS) football team did everything but sell hot dogs in week three of the season on Friday, running roughshod over visiting Vallejo in a 50-0 rout. The win pushed their season record to 2-1.Â
