Like many boys of his generation, Santa Rosa resident Jack Luceti was introduced to the game of golf by working as a caddie. Jack grew up in San Francisco and started caddying at Harding Park and Lake Merced Golf Course when he was 11 years old. Jack received a couple of cut down clubs from the pro and taught himself the basics. It was an instant love affair between Jack and the game of golf.

A pair of local youth basketball teams completed Catholic Youth Organization championships seasons this month, as the St. Peter’s fifth grade Division 3 girls and the St. Peter’s sixth grade Division 3 boys each brought home a coveted first place trophy.
U-14 Cobras compete at Founders Cup soccer tourney
The U-14 Cobras became the first team ever to represent the Healdsburg Youth Soccer Association at the State Founders Cup Competition in Sacramento on Nov. 21 and 22. After the regular season came to an end, Coach Brian Saini wanted to get his players out on the field to prepare for the tournament which would feature some of the top recreation level teams in Northern California. But he faced two problems: getting enough players and closed practice fields.Â
