The Healdsburg High School girls tennis team maintained a firm grip on second place this week in the North Bay League standings, claiming an even split in a pair of matches with Piner and Ukiah. 

The Greyhounds will be rested and ready to restart the fall football campaign when they open the North Bay League Redwood Division schedule at Piner in Santa Rosa this Friday, Oct. 15. Varsity kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Healdsburg Women's Golf Club (HWGC) played the final round of the Fitch Mountain Cup tournament and the Club Championship on a beautiful autumn day at Tayman Park Golf Course in Healdsburg this month. The Fitch Mountain Cup winners are determined by using the best of two out of three rounds played over the past three weeks and factoring in the golfer's course handicap.

The Healdsburg High School girl’s golf team scored arguably its biggest win of the fall campaign this week, turning back West County, 269-285.

The Eagles had a mixed bag in league volleyball action, capturing one win in three matches.

The Greyhounds had an impressive debut in the North Bay League cross country opener on Sept. 29 against visiting Ukiah, gaining an even varsity split with the Wildcats in a competitive meet held at Hoot Owl Creek Vineyards.
