Running Dogs out fast at Viking Opener cross country meet

Overcast skies and spirited competition made for a perfect day of running on Sept. 18, as hundreds of high school athletes negotiated the abbreviated, two-mile course at Spring Lake in Santa Rosa for the annual Viking Opener cross country meet.

Eagles Cross Country girls end season undefeated

At their final meet on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Willits, the Eagle girls ended their regular season undefeated for the second year in a row. With five runners on each team Cloverdale, with 21, handily beat Willits and Clearlake whose final scores were 51 and 52 respectively.  St. Helena did not have five runners, so their team finishes did not count.

Lady Eagles log three wins to stay perfect in NCL-1 race

The Lady Eagles varsity softball squad retained the top spot in the NCL-1 standings last week with lopsided wins over Kelseyville (14-0), Fort Bragg (11-1) and Willits (12-1).
