Cloverdale High School’s softball and baseball teams are coming off a perfect stretch on the league diamond, with both logging two wins last week.

While at the end of the Nov. 16 game the Hounds won handily, it was by no means a cakewalk. Petaluma’s Trojans did a good job of wrapping up the Greyhounds, stealing the ball and stymying Greyhound points—and sometimes scoring for the Trojans. The game got close a couple times, but in the end Healdsburg came out on top, 46-36.

The Angels played the Padres in Minor League action in Cloverdale on May 3.

High school cross country

It was an historic weekend for Our Lady of Guadalupe Church’s Catholic Youth Organization basketball program. Five boys teams came home with the championship plaque while another grabbed a 2nd place medal. OLG went three for three on Saturday.

Week two of the North Bay League cross country schedule was a good one for west county runners, as Analy and El Molino teams hit the trails in Redwood Division action on Oct. 16.
